Dr. Sonali Roy Choudhury is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Lucknow, Lucknow, India. She earned her Ph.D. on the topic "Criminalization of Marital Rape in India – Under the Shackles of Socio-Legal Dilemma."
She has more than 10 years of teaching experience in various universities and has presented over 25 research papers at prestigious academic institutions. In addition, she has authored numerous research papers in the field of law and legal studies.
Dr. Sonali has a deep interest in women-centric legal issues and is committed to promoting progressive remedial mechanisms through legal reforms. Her academic work extensively explores Human Rights from a Constitutional perspective, with a strong focus on justice, equality, and legal empowerment.
She teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and possesses significant expertise in mediation, which is reflected in both her teaching methodology and administrative capabilities.
Dr. Sonali has also delivered lectures and participated in several prestigious forums, including Judicial Training & Research Institute (JTRI), Lucknow, and Akashvani (Prasar Bharati), where she has shared her insights on contemporary legal issues and social justice.
